If you have an incoming Pre-K or Kindergarten student and did not receive the Highlands Early Childhood Center welcome email sent by principal Kristie Gizienski on Monday, Aug. 10, your child may not be officially registered for the 2026-2027 school year.
If you did not receive the email, please contact Michaela Bonnett at mbonnett@goldenrams.com as soon as possible to confirm your registration status and learn what documentation may still be needed to complete the enrollment process.
We are excited to welcome our newest Golden Rams and look forward to seeing officially registered families at HECC Orientation on Tuesday, August 18, from 5:00-6:00 p.m.

2026-27 Highlands Activities Calendar
Highlands School Calendar 2026-27
This one-page calendar lists the key dates for the school year. The first day of school for students will be Wednesday, August 26, 2026. The last day of school for students will be Thursday, June 3, 2027.
In compliance with the federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, as reauthorized in 2015 by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), Highlands School District is attempting to identify all children within the district that may be experiencing homelessness. Children who are experiencing homelessness may qualify for assistance with free school lunch, school supplies/materials, tutoring and transportation so that they can remain in their school of origin throughout the duration of their homeless episode. Please read this letter for more information.
